I love to cook and try out new products so when I received my gold label virgin coconut oil from Tropical Traditions I was really excited. I also got their book Virgin Coconut Oil, how it has changed people’s lives and how it can change yours by Brian and Marianita Shilhavy. The book is full of all kinds of uses for coconut oil including some delicious sounding recipes. My sister just moved back to Ohio from Hawaii and has promised to share some great coconut oil recipes with me as well, I can’t wait! Did you know that coconut oil is not only good for cooking but is even thought to help improve your dogs coat? Coconut Oil seems to have all kinds of crazy uses. According to the Tropical Traditions website Research shows that the medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil boosts the body’s metabolism, raises body temperatures, and helps provide greater energy which can lead to weight loss. Whether it can lead to weight loss or not it tastes great in cooking.
