It’s Finally Here

September has finally arrived and so has the Best Baby Products Carnival.  I am so excited to tell you about my favorite products and to give some away to my fabulous readers. So many great companies have generously given prizes it is going to be lots of fun. I hope you will comment on the posts as well because I would love to hear about your favorite baby items, even though I am on baby #3 I am constantly discovering new can’t live without items. I want to kick off the carnival by talking a little bit about baby products. Everyone loves saving money and if you are reading this you definiteley love saving money but sometimes saving money is not about buying the most inexpensive item. There are good quality products and not so good products, the safety recall list that grows daily is a prefect testimony to that. When it comes to kids items you need to be especially careful, while price does not equate to quality the more trusted and quality brands tend to come with a higher price tag. I think baby gear is an investment, much like a car you don’t buy the cheapest clunker because it costs less. It may be cheaper today, but if you have to replace it in a month then you end up paying more for 2 cheapies than one quality car would have been in the first place.

When my oldest was born I was very lucky and got some major baby items handed down to us, because they were quality ( Graco) they were still safe for my daughter to use. If you are planning on having more than one child be sure and think farther into the future than today you want items that last even down to things like nursing bras. I bought really cheap ones with my first daughter because we were poor and they lasted about as long as you would expect and I had to replace them doubling the price of a quality one. So why am I going on and on about this? The products I am going to be talking about and featuring are not the cheapest available but they are quality products and ones that I have and trust with my kids. So don’t freak out and just look at the price tag look at the product and see what fantastic things there are available to you and your baby. Of course still shop around and price compare as well as watch for coupons, it would be silly not too!
