I feel like Mr.Monk, in a recent episode he found the perfect vacuum and it was heavenly for him and after trying out the new Dyson DC25 blue print limited edition I understand his reaction. The right vacuum makes all the difference in the world. I actually enjoy vacuuming with my new Dyson and what’s even better so does my husband. He is a gadget person and the new Dyson DC25 has all the bells and whistles that make it more than just a vacuum, they make it a fun machine to play with. I can’t decide what my favorite feature is, there are way too many to choose from so I will tell you all the things I love:
- I love how easy it is to switch from carpet to hard floors, you simply press a button that is easily reached and the brushes stop, so simple especially if like me you have hard wood floors with area rugs.
- I LOVE the attachments, you just pull up on the handle and the whole thing lifts out, no unhooking the hose, it is SO easy. And speaking of attachments the DC25 comes with an under low surface attachment that makes the vacuum like a canister vacuum with a long hose and attachment.
- I love how small and light weight it is, we live in a small house and I love that it fits perfectly in my hall closet with lots of room to spare.
- I love that it is bagless, while it seems like a very large investment (retails for around $529) there is no additional cost for bags, it is a one time purchase with a 5 year warranty.
- I love the maneuverability of the ball technology, it is very easy to maneuver all over the room with the ball turning system.
So now you know my loves here are my critiques:
- It is not self-propelled and my other vacuum was so at first it seemed a bit stiff to push on the carpeting, but now I don’t notice it. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t hard to push I was just used to the vacuum pulling itself.
- It does not pick up large things unless you use the attachments. I have young kids who make messes and I wish the vacuum could suck up the food that they drop on the hard wood floors, but since the attachments are so easy to use it isn’t a problem to suck them up.
Overall I love this vacuum and would highly recommend it. I know it is on the pricier end but in my experience unless you buy a high end vacuum you are replacing yours every 2 years and in the long run buying a Dyson with a 5 year warranty will be a better investment.

Oh sounds heavenly to be sure!
