It seems like everywhere I turn people are embarking on quests to get fit. I see these posts and feel inspired and then do absolutely nothing. You see I don’t know how to exercise. I know it sounds crazy but here is the deal. In high school I swam 3-5 hours a day year round so I was in amazing shape. Then at the end of my senior year I hurt my shoulder, opted not to have surgery, and that was the end of my swimming career. In college I went to the gym maybe once a month with girlfriends but my body was still so fit it didn’t matter. I walked everywhere and was active so I got by just fine. Fast forward to now and I still do nothing regularly and all of that muscle tone from high school is gone replaced by flab. For the first time in my life I am self conscious about my stomach and the way things fit. The problem is my weight is fine so that is not motivating me and I just plain hate exercising. When I am part of a team I am great because I have a strong sense of commitment but every time I try to get an exercise regiment going by myself I fail.
So why am I rambling about this. Well I am joining a great group of bloggers on a Mission To Healthier Me. I want to not only get my muscle tone back but feel better and be healthier. So this is my public commitment to try and your permission to challenge and harass me to do it. I am going to start small in hopes that I can stick with it and create a new lifestyle that works for me, so here are my resolutions.
1. Exercise 3 days a week. Whether I do a video, go for a fast walk or something else, I need to be aggressively active 3 days a week.
2. No more eating after 8 pm. My late night munching while I blog is not doing me any favors so it must stop.
So that is all for now. Nothing life changing but this is the way I need to do it or it won’t happen. I have been vowing to get healthier and more active since my surgery last August and have done nothing yet. So this is me saying I will change and if you need a change too, then join me I would love the company!

You’ll do great!! Those are awesome goals!
