I am so excited to announce my participation in the HP Pin the Halls Program. We have owned multiple HP computers and printers over the years so I was excited to work with this familiar and much loved brand. As part of the program I received an HP ENVY 20 Touchsmart AiO desktop computer. I have not owned a desktop computer since college but my husband and I had just been discussing needing a family computer so this was the perfect opportunity. My oldest is in 1st grade and using computers at school so it is time she had a computer she could really explore at home. My laptop I use for blogging so it was always off limits except under supervision and even then not very often because I could notttt risk anything happening to my work computer.

I am really excited to introduce you to some amazing HP products as my family and I test them out and even better news for you I get to give some away! So far my girls are in love with the touchscreen computer and I have to kick them off to get time to use it. The favorite program? The Fresh paint app for the kids ( more about that in a future post) and I must say I am LOVING how my pictures look on the screen, photo editing got so much easier. Of course my new HP touchscreen computer comes loaded with Windows 8 which has been lots of fun. There is definitely a learning curve as it is so dramatically different from anything I have ever used. Thankfully my husband has always had a Windows phone so he is really familiar with it and has helped me out a lot. Now that I am getting used to Windows 8 I really, really like it, it is very user intuitive once you let go of the way you think it should be!

We love Bluetooth in our house and have a wireless Bluetooth speaker, but my computer has never linked to it which stinks. I could link my iPad and my husband linked his phone but that was all and the majority of my music was on my laptop. Now that I have a Bluetooth enabled computer and a fancy new HP Portable Bluetooth speaker I can rock out anywhere in the house. This little speaker is so fabulously portable my husband remarked how nice it will be when we travel. My kids fall asleep to very specific music so we have been lugging our big Bluetooth speaker all over, now we have a cute portable version to take instead!

It’s the holiday season and computers tend to be a big Christmas gift. I know lots of people who get a new computer as a family gift and of course laptops are always popular. I created a Pin Board with a bunch of great products that the people on my Christmas list would love some are HP and some are Snapfish as well as other ideas. I love giving personalized gifts and this year I kind of went crazy with the photo ornaments from Snapfish, I can’t wait to see how they turned out when they arrive.

For me the holidays are all about giving, I am never as happy as when I am giving to someone else. I often have to restrain myself from going overboard at the holidays but it is just so much fun to give the perfectly thought out gift. I just finished my gift shopping this afternoon when I placed my Snapfish ornament orders and the house has been decorated since the day after Thanksgiving! We are in full holiday mode here. Now that the shopping is done I can focus more on all the great family traditions like making Christmas cookies and candies and gingerbread houses. My kids have only one cousin who does not live in town and with the new HP Envy 20 AiO they can Skype with her ( well her parents since she is 5 months old) and share all of the holiday excitement with them even though they are not here.
