My Thoughts on the HP Envy 20 Touchscreen AiO Desktop Computer #PintheHalls

HP family time

I have been enjoying my new HP Envy 20 Touchscreen AiO desktop computer for a month now and really I can not imagine how we lived without it! Ok maybe that is a dramatization BUT it is pretty amazing. I made a video to demonstrate just how fun and amazing  this computer is the touchscreen really turns it into a toy that the whole family enjoys, even my 3 year old. Windows 8 does have a bit of a learning curve so be prepared but it is so worth learning. A few things that threw me off at first, if you want to print you send things to your devices, the printer is listed there among other options, there is no print button. If you can’t find what you are looking for just go search for it and it will easily appear. Swipe slow and purposely no random fast swiping it won’t acknowledge it.

Our HP Envy 20 desktop computer helped the girls stay in touch with friends and family over Christmas break!

The ability to pin apps to the start screen is fantastic, I have at my fingertips everything I need and everything I want and browsing the app store is so much fun! My kids have really been enjoying exploring the touchscreen technology and all the fun learning games they can play. A favorite activity is Skype, it has also become a really fun computer to Skype on. We never did much Skyping before but after trying it on the Windows 8 app the kids are asking to Skype every day. Because the screen is so wide the camera can fit all of my kids easily on the screen and they can all see without pushing and shoving, it’s great. The kids had so much fun and the connection and picture was so great they even started playing LEGOs!

The HP Envy 20 comes equipped with Beats Audio which is a fantastic way to play your music. The HP Envy 20 touchscreen desktop computer is in the perfect spot to be our music station as you can hear it both upstairs and down in our split level house. We have had many, many great dance parties, check out how great the music sounds! And if I need music up in the bedrooms I can use my HP bluetooth speaker and still get the music off of my computer using bluetooth technology. We are a music loving family so these new music options really excite us!

Overall I would highly recommend the Hp Envy 20 Touchscreen AiO desktop computer to anyone especially families. So many great apps the whole family will love, plus you can create separate profiles. We have a profile for the kids that sends me emails each week with a summary of all activity, I love it! Plus then I can choose which apps they have access to while still having all the things I need for working in social media at my fingertips. This computer has so many great features and Windows 8 with touchscreen is a fantastic technology that you will love. Be sure to check out my other thoughts on the HP Envy as part of the Pin the Halls Program.

Thanks to HP for including me in the Pin the Halls program, products were provided for review, all opinions are my own.

  1. What a fun computer! I love that it emails you a weekly summary of the kids’ activities! I think I’d really have to get used to swiping slowly just because I am so used to swiping quickly on my phone (word games are addicting)!

  2. I am testing a similar product with Windows 8 and I have to admit that I am loving it. The touchscreen is just so convenient and fun!

  3. What a cool computer – love the features – especially the touchscreen technology, which makes it so much more intuitive for kids!

  4. This looks great – I’m interested in checking out Windows 8. My husband and I have been discussing it as he deals with a lot of the computer stuff at his work. The touch screen looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!!

  5. Love it! Looks like an awesome family computer. My kids are so used to the touchscreen on iPads and iPhones that they try to touch my laptop screen. LOL Love the pictures and videos of your girls enjoying the computer – so cute!

  6. I think the touch screen computers are so cool and know my boys would love one. Thanks for the insight on how well they withstand kids.
