What I Wore Real Mom Style Vol 1 #RealMomStyle

WIWMOMSTHere it is the first official post of many in the WHAT I WORE – REAL MOM STYLE  and I am so excited!

This post is about real moms who have real style. While we all fall into the jeans and t-shirt rut we are encouraging our fellow moms to take the time to dress their best and rock it like the rock star moms they are! Did you look especially good this week, were the other moms at the playground complimenting your outfit? Share the look that worked for both potty training, the playground and coffee with a friend and let’s inspire each other with some real mom fashion!

This is what I wore this past Friday and it is an outfit that regularly shows up in my rotation. There are so many reasons I love this outfit and it never ever stops me from doing everything being a mom of littles requires!

  • Black cowl neck – Target
  • Red tank top – Bravado Designs
  • Skinny jeans – GAP
  • Black boots – Naughty Monkey

I love that this outfit is stylish and has some fun details to really up the style level. The buttons on the sleeves and buckles on the boots really add to the look. Everything is 100% cotton making it machine washable so no worries if baby throws food on me or uses me as a kleenex and the flat boots means I can comfortably chase kids ALL DAY LONG!

Every Sunday we will put a linky up and we want you to share your fabulous looks to inspire us and others. Fashion is a powerful tool to encourage uplift and just make you smile. Just want to share a fabulous accessory and not a whole outfit that is great too. Be sure to follow @ThriftyChicMom and @MommainFlipFlop on Twitter and use hashtag #RealMomStyle so we can help encourage each other and share our fashion successes!

I hope you will join us this Sunday for our first link up What I Wore – Real Mom Style!

We are just two moms keeping it real when it comes to fashion and style!

  1. I love those boots – always have. Once you have kids I really think flat boots are key. Comfortable, cute and easy to move in. I like how you paired the red under the black as well. Great casual everyday outfit.

  2. I need those boots!!! You look very Chic as usually! :)

  3. I am so excited to see what others mom’s out there are wearing! I love getting inspired by others!

  4. Even if I’m not a mom, am I able to join in on the fashion fun? :)

I don’t really do a lot of dressing up because with my health, I never or rarely have any occasion to! That being said however, I think I should take at least one day out of the week to get dressed for myself, even if I never end up going anywhere!

I LOVE that black shirt from target; I think it’s the sleeves that captured my attention ^.^

  5. Looks super comfortable yet super cute! Perfect! :)

  6. You look so cute.. like always! I wish I could rock skinny jeans but I feel .. well.. not skinny!

Yes, this what I wear for most days, sad but true, jeans, boots or wedges, some type of tee, sweater combo. But I don’t ever seem to look put together like some of those fashionable moms. Can’t wait to see how you girls pull yourselves together. Gotta have my pricey jeans, i swear they do make a difference! And some type of cute top, but I need to do a bit of layering otherwise I still look sloppy.
