The Lansinoh Affinity Pro Double Electric Breast Pump Review
I consider myself quite the expert when it comes to breast pumps. (If that doesn’t make me a cool kid, I don’t know what would!) I’ve earned this status working full time, in a job that requires travel, while attempting to exclusively breastfeed two children. (I’m now on my third!) During this pursuit, I’ve used every kind of pump there is (all combinations of double, single, electric, battery, and manual) and pumped everywhere from nice nursing rooms to closet-size bathroom stalls. Suffice it to say, I was “pumped” to try the latest double pump from Lansinoh.
At first glance, I was skeptical. The pump is small and very light. I couldn’t really imagine it being as effective as the electric double pump I usually use. However, don’t let this little guy deceive you. It does the trick. Lansinoh has also added a couple of nice features. The pump has an initial two minute “stimulate” setting (which you can skip if you want) and then moves into a full-on pump, complete with several different levels to ensure comfort and effectiveness. In addition, the pump has a timer so that you can assess how long you’ve been at it. (Helpful, especially if you are trying to be a bit more routine about your pumping times.) As extra perks, it comes with a tote bag and has the option of batteries or plug in.
While I found the size, timer, and settings to be definite perks, the best part about this pump is the price. Surprisingly, it comes in at almost half the price as the other leading brand, and that’s a considerable savings at just $129.99
All things considered, I was impressed. In fact, after some scheduled quiet time with this pump, I do believe I have an “affinity” with it. If you are looking for a double breast pump, for daily use, that doesn’t break the bank, I think you will too!
