It’s week 6 and this week I decided I had to have a chambray shirt, after seeing them on others last weekend and then Andrea’s great post on How to Wear a chambray shirt I knew a chambray shirt was essential for my spring wardrobe. Lucky for me I spotted one at Target on sale! Yesterday was the Irish Festival so of course we all had to dress in green. I could not wait to wear my chambray shirt so here is the outfit I came up with!

- Chambray shirt – Target
- Belt – not sure it’s old!
- Green pants – Lands End
- White camisole – NY & Co
- Jewelry – Sears
- Booties – DSW years ago

My kids got new outfits courtesy of Grandma for the Irish festival here is my oldest in hers ( they all matched)
I love to share fashion on Instagram, if you are on Instagram too follow me I have been giving sneak peaks of the upcoming Spring Fashion Event.
This post is about real moms who have real style. While we all fall into the jeans and t-shirt rut we are encouraging our fellow moms to take the time to dress their best and rock it like the rock star moms they are! Did you look especially good this week, were the other moms at the playground complimenting your outfit? Share the look that worked for both potty training, the playground and coffee with a friend and let’s inspire each other with some real mom fashion!
I also link up at Monday Mingle and

I love it and the belt looks fabulous. I look forward to doing the belt thing when I’m not nursing! I think the button up chambray is the way to go. U could wear it open with the belt over and another look.
Matching outfits.. too fun. She’s adorable as always.. such a little lady.
Thanks she is so sweet!
Love the jewelry! you really put that outfit together very well
I’m making a little bit more effort to dress up but right now i’m with the flu and my 5 mos old boy is sick too so i’m taking this week off
Sickness is a good excuse to just stay in your jammies, hope everyone is better soon!
I like the way you paired the blue shirt with the green pants. It looks great! I’m losing my old conformed thinking on which colors go with what.
Me too I am trying new color combos and have been pleasantly surprised with the results!
I love the whole outfit! It looks great! Questions though: What style and fit pants do you order from Lands End? I really love their clothes but get stuck knowing what style pants to order. There are so many choices and it overwhelms me!
Jennifer these are the Lands End Regular Fit 1 boot cut stretch chino I chose them based on the rise since I have found that is the easiest way for me to pants shop, you can see more shots of these pants here http://www.thriftyandchicmom.com/2012/09/fall-fashion-event-lands-end-colored-chinos-and-corduroy-leggings/
I actually had an old chambray shirt, but I bought another one last week too! lol You look cute!

Love the idea of a chambray shirt as a jacket or a cardigan/layering piece.
