Friends are such an important part of life, especially as mothers. I have several friends who all became mothers the same time as I did and over the years they have been such a great support to me. These women have been there as I forged my way figuring out how to be the best mom I can be and they have provided not only friendship for me but for my children too. When Merci, maker of amazingly delicious chocolates, told me they wanted to help me celebrate a friend I was thrilled. They sent me a great gift pack to gift a friend and I have one for you to gift a friend too.
The week of August 11th was National Friendship Week but don’t let a date decide when you celebrate your friends. Celebrate your friends all the time! Here are 3 ways I like to celebrate my friends:
- A Card in the Mail: There is something really special about an unexpected note of thank you showing up at your door. Even more so than email an actual card just really says thanks and I care.
- Feed Them: When my friends are in a transition I try to help out by bringing a meal. New baby, moving or family loss are great reasons to help relieve the load by providing food. Even if your friend lives far away you can still have pizza delivered!
- Make Time: We all have busy seasons of life, but be sure to make time for your friends even if it is just a phone call, make time to check in with each other.
