What is an Honest Scrap Award? In the words of Vivian Zabel at Brain Cells and Bubble Wrap:
“Scrap means left overs, fragments, discarded material, and many times truth and honesty is discarded material, considered fragments and left over. So, we need to tell it like it is, and let the scraps fall where they will.”
Honorees are to first list 10 honest things about ourselves – and make it interesting, even if we have to dig deep! Second, we are to pass the award on to 7 bloggers we feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.
So here we go 10 honest things about me:
- I studied voice in college yet have MAJOR stage fright issues.
- I have really ugly feet, my pediatrician told my mom they were the ugliest feet she had ever seen.
- I can roll my tongue three times ( you know that weird genetic thing where your tongue waves in and out)
- I am a freak about eyebrow waxing and upper lip hair removal, every woman needs to do both ( no bleaching is not enough the sun reflects off of blonde hairs)
- I am a shopaholic, the mall is my nemesis and downfall, if I stay away I am ok.
- I love shoes especially high heels. I did not own a pair of flats until my first pregnancy.
- I was a huge tomboy as a little girl and wanted to be like my big brother so bad.
- I have a deep desire to be crafty but I am SO not gifted in that area, it is very sad really. I harbor a secret jealousy of my moms creative talents.
- I married the man of my dreams, graduated college and started a new job all in one month.
- I drink a Dr.Pepper every morning to get me going (not a coffee girl)
