Perricone MD Cold Plasma & Nutrient Fortifier
While I am only 27 years old I am already becoming a bit vain about my skin and possible wrinkles! When Perricone MD offered to let me try their Cold Plasma I jumped at the chance. When I received the cream I started using it right away twice a day. I did notice a change in my skin and the smile wrinkles are not as deep and noticeable. Unfortunately my super sensitive skin started breaking out a bit so I stopped using it. The generous people at Perricone MD sent me Perricone Nutrient Fortifier for sensitive skin. I LOVE the Nutrient Fortifier and use it twice a day. I still use the Cold Plasma but only once or twice a week. I am seeing a difference in my skin using NV Perricone MD’s face products. This weeks featured Made by Mom company is For Keeps Sake Designs and I get to learn about the company right along with you.
Name of company and what you sell: For Keeps Sake Designs. We provide a unique service called “My First Yearbook” it was created for parents who don’t have time, patience, creativity, etc. to keep up with baby’s first year memory book. We send out a simple form once a week on Fridays for parents to fill out while baby’s milestones, special outings etc. are still fresh in their memory. They can even upload pictures right on the form. After baby’s 1st birthday we send them a 40 page professionally printed memory book. Pages are designed by me. The hardback cover is designed and handmade by me with custom organic fabric, each print is unique and is never ever duplicated on any book, and a ribbon is attached to keep the book closed. There are envelopes for keepsake storage, and we also keep everything on file and offer accident protection. No more forgotten stories, empty pages, or scribbled out words!
We also have a small online boutique with unique baby items.
How did you come up with your product idea? I never had a completed baby book and as a child I remember thinking my mom didn’t really care about preserving those memories. But when I became a mom I realized you don’t have the time, or you just forget. My kids don’t have baby books, which I regret, I don’t want any family to miss out on such an important keepsake!
What is you favorite thing about being a mom entrepreneur? The flexibility to stay home with my kids, and to do something I am passionate about!
What is the toughest part of being a mom entrepreneur? Getting your name out there is challenging. But you can’t give up! If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will
Anything else you want people to know about your product/company? 10% is donated to First Candle SIDS Alliance or the Trisomy 18 Foundation. Our only son became an angel on June 8th 2007 at exactly 4 months old due to SIDS so we are passionate about ending infant death. He is our inspiration for this business! We offer a tip of the week with each email on keeping your baby safe (ex. making sure baby sleeps on their back, and keeping plush items out of baby’s crib)

Traveling with kids can get crazy, when we went to Florida last year I thought we were moving we had so much stuff. Celtic Woman: Songs From The Heart
I recently was sent the new Celtic Woman CD Songs From The Heart to review. My family is Irish and I grew up listening to Irish music and appreciating my heritage. My girls and I enjoyed listening ot this CD, Irish step dancing fascinates my daughters and when they heard the song NIL SE N LA they couldn’t stop dancing. The album is filled with various songs most of, which I recognized, done in an Irish fashion. I enjoyed many of the renditions and found it to be a very soothing and enjoyable album. Super Safe with Silikids
After the whole BPA scare lots of moms felt unsafe using plastic. Many moms started using glass again, but with glass comes the risk of breaking and getting cut. So what is a mom to do? How about Silikids! Silikids is an innovative company that makes silicone coverings for glass bottles and cups. My daughters are drinking from cups now but we have lots of spills so I was too nervous to use glass. I got a lilac siliskin glass that is just perfect for The Princess, she loves her cup. It is easy to hold since the silicone is non-slip and if she knocks it over I don’t freak out. I love that silicone is both recyclable and hypoallergenic. The glasses are a great price at just $7.95 for both the glass and the siliskin, available online.
