Keep Your Kids Teeth Sparkling
Getting my kids to brush their teeth daily has been a struggle. My 2 year old loves her toothbrush but her big sister, not so much. Here are my tips help keep my kids healthy. I had no cavities until I reached college and I hope the same for my kids. Here are five simple things you can do for your child to help keep their smiles healthy and bright
1. We avoid sugary drinks. My kids do get juice but it is watered down and absolutely no pop for my kids!
2. We buy toothbrushes that my kids love. Since I let them pick they are more excited to brush. Currently we have Princess but in the past it was Dora.
3. Make it fun. When we brush I am silly with my kids and we have a contest to see who can make their teeth sparkle the most. Since they are girly girls who love anything that sparkles that is an exciting idea. After we are done we compare in the mirror.
4. My kids are still young so I brush their teeth then they do as well. that way I know they are being properly brushed.
5. I make sure my kids have a healthy diet and we, limit the junk food that will cause teeth decay. Starting healthy eating young builds life long habits.

Wisk Summer Science Experiment
Today my daughter and I conducted a science experiment courtesy of Wisk. We tested out the new Spectrum Technology to see how well it works on protein stains specifically grass stains. We deal with a lot of formula and baby food stains at my house so I was very excited to see how well Wisk worked. Check out the video to see how it went. Excuse the camera work my sister was balancing a baby who decided she was done before we were and since I still can not move my neck up and down too much I look a bit stiff and awkward so bear with me but the point is the Wisk and it’s stain fighting ability.

Time Is On My Mind

ason I have been thinking about watches a lot recently. Maybe it’s the fact that as I spend my days recovering from my surgery time seems to drag on and on and on. I am always wearing a watch, without one I feel naked, my wrist feels so empty and I feel a bit disoriented. It’s kind of funny even in my home I wear a watch at all times yet there is a clock of some sorts in every room. Each morning I get up put on my wedding ring and my watch and then any other jewelry I want but never not the ring and watch. So I have been doing a bit of window shopping and discovered a watch brand on ShopNBC I was unfamiliar with Stuhrling Original. Glasses As An Accessory
I LOVE sunglasses they are one of my favorite accessories. At any given time I have multiple pairs to go with different outfits and different hair styles. I don’t spend a lot of money on them but love trying out different frames, colors and lenses. I have needed eyeglasses since the 6th grade. I still remember the day I bought my first pair, then I hid them in my backpack for 2 years before I acknowledged to the world I wore prescription glasses. Eventually my mom let me get contacts and I wore them daily until 2 years ago. Wearing contacts allowed me to embrace my passion for sunglasses, but since having to wear glasses daily I have had to surrender that passion and limit myself to just one pair of prescription sunglasses.
As glasses become more and more glamorous and stylish I am tempted to change my sunglasses obsession into an eyeglasses obsession. I would love to have a pair of eyeglasses for every outfit. How fun would it be to wear my glasses as an accessory instead of a necessity. Now that glasses online have become very affordable it is much more realistic to have multiple pairs. Kids & Beds
All 3 of my girls sleep in one room. We have a 3 bedroom house and the third bedroom is used as a playroom. When we found out I was pregnant with our third child it was time to figure out sleeping arrangements. With just 2 kids my oldest was in a toddler bed and the youngest was still in a crib. We thought about many options from bunk beds to trundle beds to a double bed. We ultimately went with a double bed since my girls are too young for a bunk bed but in the future we will need a twin beds for my oldest. When it is time to shop for a new twin bed I will definitely be checking out CSN and their great selection. These are a few I like. My girls would adore this Princess bed.
