EyeBuyDirect.com
Do you or someone in your family wear glasses or contacts? If so then you know that the costs can really add up. Even with insurance you still end up paying for glasses if you want any extra features or upgrades. If you wear contacts it’s worse because you need to cover the remaining balance on the contacts plus you need a back up pair of glasses and that is never covered. I was recently introduced to eyebuydirect.com an online retailer where you can buy eyeglasses online. While I have never purchased from them I did go through the process as if I was. I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough and comprehensive the process is. I was worried about not being
able to try them on for looks, but you can upload a photo. I also concerned about fit, but they ask for so many measurements it seems the glasses should fit upon arrival. Overall they have a great selection at great prices. I am most excited about the prescription sunglasses, since having eye issues and having to stop wearing contacts I have missed my sunglasses, they are a staple accessory for me. And since insurance won’t cover both glasses and sunglasses I have done without. Now that I discovered the great prices at eyebuydirect.com I just may have a new pair of sunglasses in the near future.
Has anyone ordered glasses from eyebuydirect? If so I would love to hear about your experience.
Finding the Best Price
I know all of my readers love a great deal as much as I do and I am sure when you are making a big ticket item purchase you shop around and compare prices. As my family has grown I have less time to do extensive research and I definitely do not like driving around and wasting gas. In the past I have used Amazon.com to price compare but the lack of competition in comparison sites always made me wonder if I really had all the best prices. I am excited to announce a new price comparison site Pebble.com. Pebble.com has a really great and thorough filtering system to help you find just what you are looking for. Not only that but it also allows you leave feedback for others to view and post questions you may have in a forum setting.
I have been having fun searching for things I would love to have on Pebble and have found it very user friendly. I definitely recommend checking out Pebble next time you need to make a purchase, it will provide you with the price comparisons and feedback you are looking for.
While I was conpensated for this post all opinions are completely my own.

This weeks Sanity Saver is a great blog that I have just discovered and has changed my life, literally. First a little background…
I love doing crafts with my daughter and I think it is important and valuable in her upbringing that she have arts and craft time on a regular basis. I think fostering creativity is an important thing and strive to nurture that quality in my children. That being said I am not gifted in the creativity department so when it comes to arts and craft ideas my poor daughter is being ripped off. Enter No Time For Flashcards, first of all I love the name it is so clever, second of all this site is just what I have been looking for.
Allie at No Time For Flashcards is an expert in the are of early childhood education not only is she a mom ( which qualifies her immediately) but she has been working with small children in various capacities since 1993 ( view her profile here). Allie’s site NTFFC provides age appropriate crafts, books, songs and other activities. It truly is a gold mine of information. I have only just started using her site and already have made several Christmas crafts to the utter delight of my daughter. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas posts she has:
Paper Plate Santa
Candy Christmas Trees ( I am having a group over to do this one!)
“Bow”tiful Christmas Tree
Snowglobe Snowman
There are so many other great crafts and lots of great book recommendations I could go on and on. I highly suggest in you are a mom to a young child to check out this site for lots of great ideas. Now I have a child who looks forward to craft time knowing it will be more than just crayons and a coloring book ( Thanks Allie). So what is saving your sanity this week? I would love to know please share I could use all the help I can get!
Black Friday

Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Let me first start by saying I worked in retail for years and this day is dreaded by workers so please be nice shoppers, not the crazed ones that run each other over and rip items out of one another’s hands. That being said here is a website with the ads for all of the major stores for Black Friday. They do not have the ads as of yet but you can sign up for emails to receive alerts when the stores you are interested make their ads available. This will be helpful in plotting out your strategy! Happy shopping!
Kids Meal Deals

I haven’t featured a website in a while so here is a great one for you.
Kids Meal Deals lets you type in your zip code and find out who has great deals on kids food and when. For example did you know that on Mon. kids eat for $.99 at BW3s and that at Qdoba on Tuesdays kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. Be sure to check your area to see if you have these same great deals.

Have you ever found a great recipe only to find it contains an ingredient you can’t/don’t eat.
Have you ever started making a recipe only to find one of your ingredients is gone?
Well never stress over figuring out substitutions again. This great site gives suggested substitutions to just about everything. It also tells you how to choose fruits and vegetables and explains what all kinds of different ingredients are. This is a site to bookmark for sure.
In my family we are dairy free which means lots of substituting. While I have most ingredients figured out already this site has come in handy many times.
That’s what is saving my sanity these days, what is saving yours? I’d love to know!
